Meet Rick Tapia, Esq.

I’m the founding partner of Restored Law, PLLC, where I provide both full-scale and ad-hoc general counsel support to blockchain, fintech, and other emerging technology companies. I work closely with founders to turn ambitious ideas into well governed, investor-ready ventures. From drafting corporate charters, building board processes, and managing day-to-day compliance. My practice spans corporate governance, securities regulation, intellectual property strategy, token launches, and the tokenization of real-world assets.

Before launching Restored Law, I served as General Counsel at Digital Ascension Group, where I helped establish the firm’s governance framework, advised its registered investment adviser unit, and developed the fund and token documentation that fueled its growth in digital asset management.

Whether I’m drafting a quick board consent or designing an end-to-end compliance program, I aim to bring practical, business-first judgment to every engagement. My clients rely on me for timely, strategic legal support that keeps deals moving, aligns stakeholders, and anticipates regulatory scrutiny.. all without the overhead of a full-time legal department.

I also serve as President of the Stand With Crypto Indiana chapter, where I work directly with policymakers and advocate for pro-innovation legislation. As a frequent keynote speaker and CLE presenter, I’m passionate about translating the complexity of emerging technologies into clear, actionable legal strategies that help founders scale with confidence.
